Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.
Nine people were hurt while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.
Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from regional authorities.
Russian forces has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.
"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in supplying protection systems and implementing sanctions," he wrote in a online statement.
Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.
The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to restore power.
A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.
Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
Area administrators said the urban area endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and multiple civilians were wounded.
The attacks follow evenings of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.
The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.
National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with strikes already impacting energy systems.
Officials stated energy workers and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
