Tens of thousands assembled throughout the country at pro-Palestine demonstrations, with organisers promising to keep demonstrating after a peace arrangement negotiated by the American leader in Gaza showed early signs of stability.

Sydney Demonstration Draws Large Crowd

In Sydney, the Palestine Action Group claimed thirty thousand participants had marched from the public gardens to another city park in the city center after a scheduled protest to the famous building was banned by the New South Wales court of appeal recently.

Law enforcement approximated 8,000 people participated in the Sydney protest, with a representative saying there had been "no significant incidents".

Australian Rallies Mark Anniversary

Protests were also organized in southern city, eastern city and Western Australian city on the day of protest to mark the ongoing situation after Hamas attacks on October 7th, 2023 caused significant casualties in Israel.

"Concerning the protest efforts, we'll certainly maintain to protest for a free Palestine... for local governance, for aid to be allowed in and for Palestinians to be able to rebuild Gaza," said one organiser.

Official Comments

One activist who made the first proposal to demonstrate at the famous location claimed that the demonstrators might have securely proceeded to the iconic waterfront location. The law enforcement official had previously stated the legal authority that the plan had "disaster written all over it".

The coordinator said on Sunday: "Every single time the law enforcement seeks to prevent our rallies or take us to the supreme court, it raises public awareness... to the necessity to organize and stand up against it."
