Trump Scraps Plan to Deploy National Agents to Bay Region
The President has called off preparations for a deployment of federal troops to the San Francisco Bay Area that had triggered widespread condemnation from local authorities and brought activists flooding into the streets.

The region had been on edge after information circulated that the government was prepared to send over a hundred CBP and other federal agents to the government installation in across the Bay, as part of a major immigration enforcement plan.

However, the president stated he would not proceed with a “surge” of government personnel in the locale after speaking with the mayor, Daniel Lurie, and Silicon Valley leaders including tech executive and Jensen Huang.
“During our discussion, the national leader told me clearly that he was canceling any plans for a federal deployment in this municipality,” Lurie stated in a statement.
